Cumberland County has a RINO problem
The Swamp Is Here
Cumberland County has a RINO problem. The chair of the Cumberland County Republican Committee, Lou Capozzi, has been playing both sides for a long time. He is a frequent contributor and fundraiser for Democrats. Please see this video for more details (I do not take credit for this video)
If you are a Republican voter, you should avoid any of the committee “endorsed” candidates. This includes Nate Silcox and Kelly Neiderer for Cumberland County Commissioner and Katee Isley for Treasurer.
Silcox and Neiderer both sit as Vice-Chairs on the CCRC. They coordinated with the chair, Lou Capozzi, to manipulate the endorsment process against current Cumberland County Commissioner, Gary Eichelberger. I was at the endorsement meeting in February and watched it unfold.
This is self serving inside politics, this is not representing the people.
Silcox and Neiderer wrongfully stated they were endorsed by State Representative Barb Gleim.
Not one candidate has apologized, or corrected this.
CV Cures
For those of you in Cumberland Valley School District, a new PAC, CV CUReS, is endorsing both “Republican” candidates and Democrats who have cross-filed on the Republican ballot. Cindy Lehman and Anne Marie Fenton are registered Democrats. This is a group who promotes a “go along, get along” message because they live in a bubble and think Cumberland County should be excused from national politics. The “endorsed” commissioner candidates were happy to attend a fundraiser in May, as were CV CUReS endorsed school board candidates Jessica Silcox and Michelle Nestor. These are the same candidates who think there are extreme right wing groups who are fighting against CRT and age appropriate materials in schools.
We need school board directors to play offense, not defense when it comes to protecting children. Do not vote for anyone who says CRT isn’t in their school or thinks removing age appropriate materials is “extreme”.
Nobody associated with CV CUReS should get your vote on Tuesday May 16. Period.
My personal Endorsements
These are the list of School Board , County, and Statewide candidates who will bring positive change to the districts they serve. I endorse them because I have met or know them personally, or I have been fighting alongside them for the past three years.
Many of my endorsements are at odds with the Cumberland County Republican Committee. Many of the candidates the CCRC are endorsing are weak RINO candidates, not true conservatives who want to serve "We The People".
